Surajpir Bird Santuary

Surajpur Bird Sanctuary and Biodiversity Park has been recently developed in the wetland area around the Yamuna River basin. Situated near Surajpur village in Gautam Budh Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh, it is a good place for nature trails and birding around Delhi. It is home to more than 180 species of birds that include spot-billed duck, lesser whistling duck, cotton pygmy goose, comb duck, red-crested pochard, bar-headed and greylag goose, common teal, northern shoveller and gadwall. The winter season is a good time to visit Surajpur as many migratory birds visit the park during this season.

Gautambudh International circuit

The Buddh International Circuit is an Indian motor racing circuit situated at Dankaur, near Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The track shares its name with Gautama Buddha, as does the district of its location. The track was officially inaugurated on 18 October 2011. The 5.125 km (3.185 mi) long circuit was designed by German racetrack designer Hermann Tilke.

Right where the river Yamuna enters the state of Uttar Pradesh, this beautiful declared area of about 3.5 sq km act as a bird sanctuary. With a lake created by the dam on the river, the place attracts a large number of birds globally, with over 300 species, most of which are waterphilic.
